Flexible but thin. To avoid sliding around the countertop requires wetting either the board
or countertop.

I don't know how I ever got along without these. They provide a sanitary surface to chop or cut up anything. When you're done, the excess can be folded up and put in the garbage or disposal. I absolutely love them to death, no exaggeration! No more dirty wood surfaces or chopping on the counter for me.

Great portability and low cost. For 10 bucks these work OK. They work perfect for fruit and veggies. They do have a curling problem and slide around when cutting large things such as chicken or roasts. They are also a little small. If you carve whole chickens into pieces you will not like these very much. I'll stick to my large, heavy wood board for large items.
They do work great for camping. I'd get them again for that reason alone. Space in a camping box is always a premium and these fit the bill!

The boards are the perfect size for cutting and transporting across the kitchen. The colors make it easy to assign a designated use for each board: green for veggies, red for meat, &c.
When I ordered them, I thought I might share with friends or family, but I'll just have to keep them for myself, maybe by another set or two for giving!

Be careful, thickness is for all 5 Sep 13, 2009
I was hoping when we ordered these that the thickness specified was for each cutting board, so that they would be nice and thick like the flexible cutting boards sold at your favorite Scandinavian furniture store, but in fact 0.2" is for all 5 put together. It would be nice if they had listed the thickness of the individual cutting boards for clarity.
On the other hand the smooth surface is much easier to dry when hand washing.
