Awesome Nov 22, 2009 Great grill for the price. Cooks everything evenly and thoroughly, cleans easy. Love the fold down design of the side shelves, saves a lot of space. Recommend the weber brand grill cover as well to protect this thing, fits perfectly.
A Five Star Portable Grill!!!! Nov 19, 2009 The positive reviews of this grill were "right on". Although the grill was a little pricey, after using it several times, my conclusion is that the grill is well worth its price. It took about one hour to put together but I enjoyed the project. I bought the cover and I am looking forward to many years of BBQ bliss on this grill.
Since we live in the country our house uses propane from a community tank so I have the grill connected to a permanent feed from the home so no tank exchanges for me, thank you. Weber reps said I couldn't set it up without the tanks and adapter but you can if it is done properly and you are using propane.
The grill cart and grill itself are well constructed and most of all the grill cooks great. The grill gets very hot in about ten minutes and the burgers or steaks are finished "before you know it". Although I used all burners on my initial cook outs, the direct medium burner should be sufficient for most jobs as suggested by the Weber Q "cook book". I am still experimenting with the cook time but the grill can complete the job in short order.
The cast iron grill surface is outstanding to use and yes, the searing marks are impressive, to me at least. The grill surface light is a great idea and comes in handy when cooking after sun down. I use extra virgin olive oil to baste the meat and it works great to prevent the meat from sticking to the grill. The electric starter is also a great feature. For added flavor, I use mesquite chips in a metal container which sits on the grill during the cooking time.
The Q 320 is a quality grill and our UPS guy brought the big bulky box to our patio in the back of the home in deep woods of east Texas. There were no issues with the UPS delivery or the grill itself. We have always had great experiences with Amazon and UPS.
Thanks to all the reviewers for providing feedback on this quality grill.

Weber Q 320 Grill Nov 17, 2009 I've always had cheap grills. What difference could there be in how the food tastes? Well there is a HUGE difference! It simply cooks everything better. I don't know why, but it does. Solid, heavy, well made aluminum construction. Well thought out design. The lid has a light that shines inside when you open it. Built in thermometer. Inside is a solid heavy cooking grate, and a warming rack. Easy lighting push button ignition. Two big knobs control two overlapping burners so you can control the flame easily. The folding side tables are sturdy and don't dump your food on the ground when you pile it on. The propane tank mounts on the grill, behind the plastic cover. The mount is simple and solid. The gas fittings looked to be quality hardware. It's a heavy grill for its size. I would say it's near the upper limit for a "portable". Smooth hard ground is no problem. Soft of uneven ground will be difficult. Moving it around the patio a few feet will give you no problems. You will enjoy cooking with this grill. But mostly, you will enjoy eating what you cook.
Perfect Grill Nov 12, 2009 This grill turned out to be a great choice replacement for my previous grill, which turned out to be a piece of trash after only 2 seasons. I have had this grill for about a week now, (the wife purchased it from here and her review is below.) We've used it a few times already, and I've cleaned it thoroughly already, (after initial use the first night,) and it's worked wonders for us. I use a grill to cook all my meats on, year round, and I love how easy it is to use this. I was skeptical about it at first but, all in all it's a great little grill. I would highly recommend getting the griddle, (or two,) to go along with it though, especially if you cook fish as well, it will be a life saver. It's not quite tall enough to cook a turkey, (which I am disappointed with,) and my dutch oven wont fit under it like my other one did but, short of those things it's got enough room to cook meals for a family of 5-6. I would like to have seen aluminum or other metal side shelfs that also included a side burner and a rotisserie, that also fold down like these do. (Great space saving design.) The light is a sweet touch, I love it, only if it included the 3 AAA batteries that it requires to use it, would it be even more perfect. The pictures do not do this unit justice. Like others have mentioned the stand is plastic, so are the side shelves, though they are rather sturdy PVC type plastic. Would be nice to have more storage space under/in front of the unit. (Weber you watching these reviews?!?) I cook a lot at night or I would have taken a movie of it, (cams not good at night shots,) while cooking on it, sometime I hope to do a video review of this unit in action. It only takes a few short minutes to heat up to 450-500º F while outdoor temps are around 50-60º F, (there is a nice thermometer on it too!) Cleans up like a charm. I couldn't be more pleased with the grill, though the shipping of the unit from Amazon leaves some MAJOR room for improvement. Box was damaged during shipment and the backsplash, (plastic at the bottom of the grill to sort of hide the tank,) was malformed due to it. Otherwise everything went together okay although the directions were sort of tricky at points, and there was no wording with the pictures to clarify what you were looking at. I wanted to give this unit 5 stars but, I just can't. It's not the top of line grill but, it's really damn close to it!
Wow, what a little wonder!!! Nov 02, 2009 I ordered this item on 10/27/09 using super saver shipping, and here it is 11/1/09 and it's still not yet shipped out!!! I would love to be able to rate this item by now but, it's impossible since I am still waiting for Amazon to fulfill my order on this item. I guess I'll know better next time to use their "Super Saver Shipping", it definitely doesn't save me anything. Hopefully I'll be able to get it before Thanksgiving at this rate...
Update:
Finally recieved this item on 11/4/09 and tried it out that night due to the packaging being damaged when it come in. Even so the unit itself doesn't seem to be damaged as it cooked rather well on it's first try. Used it to cook some NY Strips and potatoes. The grill fired right up, the light come in handy, (no batteries come with it for the light though, it does come with one in the starter.) The unit heated right up to 400º F right off the bat with it being 52º F outside and lowering the temp to about midways for both knobs, even reducing the temp to "LOW" for both knobs it maintained 350-375º F with the top down. I don't see grilling a turkey for thanksgiving on it but, it's definitely big enough to grill just about anything else you put on a grill for a family of about 4-5. I noticed the Q-120 has a way to store grilling tools under the trays, though they fold up instead of down like this unit does, I do wish they could have done something like that for this unit. Granted this units table must be more stable than the one that folds up, it would be nice to be able to have a place to store the tools with the unit with it covered somehow. Maybe a small basket across the front of the unit, to also hold things like a spray bottle, sauces, tools, etc. on it. One small gripe I have is that with the unit weighing in around 100 lbs, (with a 20 lb. tank of gas,) this unit doesn't have a sturdy handle to move it around with and the two stubs by the plastic table are rather short. Granted a lot of people will just put this in one place, cover it, and leave it there but, there are those of us who like to store our grills in the bad weather months and those two stubs on each side makes it kinda hard to move this grill around when you have to carry it up/down steps. Also, the directions could have used more words in them on how to put everything together, though the pictures were usable in most places, a few places you had to guess what it was trying to tell you.
All-In-All this seems to be a great little grill, though I am interested in how long this will last, even with the 5 year warranty that comes on it. Being Weber has been around a long time, (I can barely remember a time when they weren't around,) I don't look for them to fold up and go away anytime soon either, so I don't feel like I have gone wrong. I would rate this 4 ½ Stars if it were possible as I really believe this is a great grill even with my few small gripes above. (About the grill itself, not Amazon, I am still reserving judgement on them for the shipping fiasco. Taking a week to ship a product that was clearly in stock when I ordered it and stayed as such through the time it actually shipped out, when they require all their "Merchants" to ship within 2 days. Granted it was with "Super Saver Shipping" that shouldn't matter and the fact it doesn't mention that it would take longer to ship out in the "Fine Print", you have to actually dig around to find this information out that it takes longer than normal to ship out and that they define free shipping as "When you don't care when you get it as long as shipping is free". I seriously don't know anyone who doesn't care "WHEN" then receive a purchase after placing an order and this information I feel should be in the "Fine Print" or better still upfront.)
